Even the traditional Republican party will not work. The new realities make their philosophy untenable. If Trump is blown out, then the party might be survivable. But I can't see either a politician or a collection of politicians positioned to do it. Ryan just seems the most likely of a not very likely lot. If it's close the party may well not survive but the republic may have more than a few problems with all the talk of rigged elections. Saw a conversation this morning discussing who will offer a concession speech. The candidate was Pence.
