Boy, I see huge changes. Look at countries like Vietnam, Cambodia, even China for that matter compared to 50 years ago. And today the Middle East which has been locked into a seventh century culture for 1300 years, stolid, is been broken into shards. .

With all the cultural diffusion going on the Middle East, the kids are learning how to use iPhones to coordinate their actions and dispel primitive myths from the past. Not any different than when science dispelled myths of medicine. The Egypt spring was the result of communication.

The entire world is becoming amalgamated with things like Google and Netflix, the Internet and iPhones. Women all over the world for the first time in history are fighting for their rights. And nowhere is racism accepted openly.

Just think of the mindset and cultures around the world and how they thought and functioned in say 1916. In 1916 women were not allowed to vote. In 1816, people were bought and sold as slaves to be done with what they wanted including torture and murder.

Today a person cannot torture a dog.

<<I don't see much evidence that much has changed outside of the developed world. If Shakespeare were transported to the present day, he might marvel at the technology but I am confident he would say "people haven't changed".
