That is the ideological objection. There is a practical one, also. Any movement that has those groups as a base cannot attract enough members to make a difference. That is demographics at work and it really doesn't matter how many guns they have. There just are not enough marginalized white people in the country any more. The only way forward is for them to join with other marginalized people and those groups mentioned above prevent it. Some truth in what you are saying. The key for a Trump win is getting the 8 million that were supposed to have voted for Romney but stayed home, out to vote for Trump. Another key will be the Black vote based on how many get out for Trump based on figuring out how the Dems have just taken their vote then hung them out to dry for 4 years. Some LGBT for might hep but hard to tell how many.
