Jim, most funds that have IBM are in it or most of it for the long term. Particularly value funds. Though IBM is tech they are owned by all types of funds, ie. large cap., value, growth, balanced, index, etc. It is a core holding among many and is not imo going to meltdown to the tune of an Oracle.
I think the R&D and reorg. has given IBM its bellweather status again.
