I really do not know what the comparable cost of a Dell box is. If it is only $50 than I agree with you. But if it is more around $200 than I would think the CompUSA brand would be worth looking at. They use an Intel motherboard with an Intel processor. They slap it in a box with a power supply and then you choose what else you want in the system. I know I am going to get pummled with posts here by saying this but how is this any different than a Dell box? TomCat
