greg, cpq monitor has consistantly been rated above NEC and Sony.
but, I would agree with your recco.
dell sells a sony monitor too.
cpq also has the No. 1 positon in monitors right now.

Richie - I second Greg here, Sony and NEC are the best in my opinion also, although you WILL pay more. Sony just released a 19" model, (GDM-400PS). Check it out. Some of the monitors included with standard home systems do not look that great at all, I've noticed most of the black Aptiva IBM 15" and 17" monitors show a washed out looking picture. The Sony VAIO on the other hand looks great. Good luck,
