Don, bear trap or suckers' rally? That late rally was only a few thousand shares (maybe 4-5m went at the closing price), but the MM made them pay $59 1/2 when the bid was still down at $58 3/4, a 3/4 spread. Volume all day was only 40% of normal. Yahoo!, on the other hand, traded almost its avg volume, didn't rally, and the spread is a steenth. Too many MMs over there for the games playing to work today? Did the MMs on AMZN think they could sucker in some buying for Monday with a "strong" close? Who knows? We'll see on Monday if it worked.
