Thean, very funny about the bald guy. Where did you see him? Bloomberg? He probably lost his Mercedes by now.

Today's action is actually not that bad. I especially like the way SLB perked up the end of teh day, which may indicate a higher open on Monday. Lots of small individuals washed their hands but many bought in at the last minute which lifted the sector from the bottom of the day. Well, the average price of the sector has gone up during last several sessions and now may want to take a breather. It's similar to shooting an arrow or catupult: one has to draw back so as to hit harder. Just my opinion.

Happy trading in 1998.

Thean,
I was having trouble with ISP "flu" today. Had a very hard time getting quick quotes thru tradefast. That's why i missed the last two blocks pass on SLB...in the last five minutes a 50k and a 60k passed over at 80 1/2 & 80 11/16. That bought SLB into positive 3/16 for the day although it was negative the whole day except for the last 5 minutes! Some body makes a good living just on this stock alone, I think.

Thean, do you follow FGII? Why has this redhot up&down mover all of a sudden turned into a dull puppy? Where is the Momentum? Remember the times that Camebridge Investments' Manager told Barrons that FGII is a >150% growth stock? Ooooff, the next week it took off.
Company hasn't changed since that day, but look how it is resting now.
Can you read the chart? Do they have a significant Asia exposure? I didn't think so.
Do you expect a comeback in 1998?
Thanks,
Michael B.
