John, this would be a neat application for win 98.
I can do that with win 3.1 and win 95 and had to on a touchscreen barcode data collection app i deployed.
I could get 8 monitors into one pc doing 8 apps with win 95 and a loaded box.
and for tricks I could mouse from one monitor to another.
but, I did it with a board.
it would be neat to do it with win 98.

John Koligman, Re: Multiple Monitors on Win98:

Win 98 will suppport multiple monitors (up to 4 ?) with the drivers included in Win98. For each monitor you need a video card. The Desktop and all applications will span all the monitors. You can drag windows from Monitor to monitor and position windows anywhere within those monitors. You can open up as many applications as possible with the system resources available. Thus you can have your browser on one tube and your RT quote screen on another. Assuming you have the CPU and memory available to do this without performance issues.
I wouldn't wait for Win98 though, it will be sometime before it is released and de-bugged.
Buy an Appian Jeronimo J2 video card, which supports 2 monitors, or a J4 card which supports 4 monitors. Use Win NT and the Appian drivers and you can do this now. The Dell Workstation 400 with 2 monitors has this card and 2 monitors. It is really fantastic. You will never go back to 1 monitor.
