I think everyone may be missing a subtle point. If I'm not mistaken, won't a name change necessitate a share/certificate exchange thereby allowing the company to better account for the identification of the shares in the float? Perhaps to force shorts to cover?

You should put the symb in the heading of the stock when you create a new thread.

Should start a new one! A search of the symb. will only show this thread.
