I don't know if it's good to see Zip drives at a surplus store. Is this a discontinued model--wasn't the old version IDE and the new one ATAPI? Maybe there's been a surplus of internal drives, but I haven't heard about that here--if anything there seem to have been shortages of internals. This could be bad news if it really is due to surplus inventory.

My thanks also for the link and the great news. I just ordered mine. Total cost = $75.00. I suspect this is the magic price point that will move the ZIP to industry standard demand levels. It also has to give pause to the HIFD bulls. Is there any way Sony can compete with ZIP pricing below $75. Any reasonable person will see the obvious answer.
