All,

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. I'm somewhat relieved that the cruddy deal they cut with Echo Bay is gone. The next few days may be interesting. Does anyone know if the announcement came out after market close? The last trade was at 12:42 today.

Am I being too "Saul" in hoping that this will be good for the stock?

Jamie

This was expected to happen anyways. So what next?
Gold will become a comodity instead of being just a precious metal, and will most likely hover around $300 US give or take $20.
With the present low density grade totaling 600,000 troy onces + the site is not yet economical without any other base metal present.
Just what potential did Echo Bay see to come up with such a deal that they walked away from to possibly propose a cheaper one???
WISHING ALL A HEALTHY, PROSPEROUR, AND HAPPY 1998

Well, Steve and any others who care anymore - what are we left with? No JV partner, no money to drill, no economic ore body and any potential? I don't think so... we keep hearing that this property has such great "unexplored" potential but I have seen two years of drilling not identify ANY other ore body but A/B/O... I did not buy this stock for A/B/O , I bought it for the potential of of other targets ( that thumping sound you hear in the background is me hitting my head against the wall for not selling at $4.90, at $4.00, at $3.50, etc. - I am such an idiot!! )... now we are hear from Kelly that they want to bring "more value" to the shareholders - for those of you that need a translation - " Buffalo Valley is basically uneconomic from a shallow perspective and no one has the time or money at this time and in this market to see if there is any deep potential, so we will look for new properties to start all over again"....

I think I will close the book on this stock this next week and consider this investment a learning experience ( OR another learning experience )...

Painfully Yours,

EW
