The bookmarks on that thread rose very slowly and every now and then the number would drop 6 or 8 overnight. Then it would start rising slowly again. Happened over and over. Some years back SI posted a list of the top ten most read posters ... I was amazed to find I was one of them. I'm also one of two SI posters who've had over 100K recs. If there are more than two on SI I don't know who they are. I've always believed the people most likely to read my posts are the ones that have me on ignore. ;>) That's all nice but I don't really care. I'm going to say what I have to say whether anyone likes it or not. BTW I only started Hard Look thread in order not to offend others who didn't want to hear unpleasant facts. I avoid talking about Donnie here except when I'm called out by some Trumper. In this case it was Mr Seagrove who tried to bait me into posting on a thread I'd be banned on. ---------------- Enough about the thread YOU chose to discuss .... Trumps polling 81% with Rs. At 90% he'll likely win. I believe it - the 81% anyway though I think he really needs everyone on the right side of the country to win. He needs to do BETTER than McCain and Romney not WORSE. Most of those 81% are reluctant Trump voters. They think they don't have a choice. You can tell by the way they don't make positive arguments for Trump but invoke predictions of an imminent catastrophe if Hillary is elected (reminds me of how the alarmists address climate change). I also think it was pretty stupid of Donald to say he didn't need or want all Republicans and to say it wasn't the Conservative party. I take him at his word. I truly don't believe he wants my vote. I ONLY ever voted Republican BECAUSE it was supposed to be the conservative party. If it's not gonna be, sayonara. Maybe it's time for the holdouts to swallow their pride and spare us Hillary. Why? He says he doesn't want us. Maybe he should swallow his pride. Frankly, if HE really wanted to spare us Hillary he would have withdrawn after the oppo started being dumped in early Oct. Better yet, he should've stepped aside early on and shouldn't have hidden the dirt the Dems are dumping on him now ... with likely more and worse to come. Because after Hillary there's no going back. That's a big mistake. America has had dark days before. Did you know more Americans were killed in the Civil War than in every other war America has fought before and since combined? Look at how FDR dominated the country winning four elections in a row. Do you recall the prodigal son. Or Sauls conversion? Yes, those stories teach the loving forgiveness of God.
