Putin seems to be betting everything on Nukes. With oil and gas prices down their budgets are hurting and it takes a lot of money to build and maintain a conventional army. The U.S. and some of our NATO allies have put forces and armaments into Poland and the Baltic States. If the Russians have integrated small nukes into their forward forces and any sort of confrontation breaks out I would think they would use them. I'm sure our military is working on contingencies for all this stuff but our politicians seem OBLIVIOUS to it. I don't see anything about it on the televised news media either, Right or Left.
