Hi Apple12, saw your post and had to add, MOT and Siemens already have a JV online in VA near Richmond. MOT has also announced their own new plant in VA and Siemens has already built two modules of a planned 4 modules at Dresden. This MOT JV is to occupy module 3. Half of Module two is to be set as a pilot 300mm fab with tool up slated for 3rd Q this year. Haven't a clue as to what they're going to do with Module 3. ASTC is a JV of Siemens, IBM and Toshiba in Fishkill and they are proving out the 64MB and 256MB DRAM technology using different types of steppers. They are doing .35u line width now and hope to get .25u this year, then transfer the tech to VA and Dresden. MOT was to participate, then they decided to bail on the DRAM alltogether. olduvai5
