Mohan, *******OFF TOPIC********* Hi!!!! Free enterprise.....funny how things have changed historically....I can recall in 1982 we were staying in Syracuse for the NYState Wrestling Tournament....it was 3am in the morning (had a coaches party) and in walking back to my room on the seventh floor I ran into a Mongolian who was a member of the USSR Boxing team that was touring the country....here he finds me...in an empty hallway..... smiles and then displays threer US quarters in his outstretched hand...."Coke", he says......so, I walked him to the fire exit where the Coke machines were....upon showing him how to put all three into the machine and with him hearing the clinking and dropping of these coins...followed by the thud of the can landing in the slot...picking it up and showing him how to pull the tab....the pull and hiss...bringing it to his lips and drinking that first gulp.......his smile told me one thing..............Communism was dead. The next morning the entire team was at a breakfast buffet being supervised by the KGB...stoic and pretending to look uninterested....while waiting in line I could look back and watch the faces of this entire team change as they walked from one hot tray of sausages, bacon, eggs, fries,etc....but, when they got to the end of the line and had the opportunity to drink orange juice from the circulating transparent holder...........they went nuts....didn't care if the KGB hung them on the spot.........Just for the opportunity to have just once what we had every day.. ....it was so obvious that Communism didn't stand a chance. Free enterprise is what they wanted....I could tell you stories forever on the athletes that I have met that dealt with other Soviet athletes....swapping articles for anything in this country with a name on it....just a name....what we take for granted in this country is ridiculous.... " Athletes and sports; and international competitions amongst them has done more for world peace than all the politicians combined have since the beginning of time".......I copied that down at a banquet in 1982......the guest speaker was Bob Feller. I never thought I'd see what we have today in my lifetime...when I was a boy my dad had just returned from the Pacific and my rich neighbors were building bomb shelters....today, we are building every country on this earth with a cheap infrastructure....the computer....everyone wants a Coke and orange juice. Best, Kemble
