You are correct. It should have been D2D4. Algebraic is what the common language is now, I'm not used to it.

However, your English is incorrect. Although Algebraic operates with the squares as starting out with A1 in the lower White left hand corner with H8 the Black left hand corner....

The movement from the Black side mimics the White. In other words, if you are moving a previously unmoved pawn from in front of your King 2 squares it is noted as "P-K4" in English....even though in Algebraic it would be E7E5. That is to say, in English, a game may start out as P-K4 by White then P-K4 by Black. To convert, in Algebraic the moves would have been E2E4 then E7E5.

So, to continue in Algebraic,
