Yes, libertarianism would always devolve into Lord of the flies.

The human animal spent millions of years adapting to its environment. It's brain formed adapting to a nomadic life killing animals for meat and defending itself from Lions. About 15,000 years ago, we discovered how to plant grains, domesticate animals and settled down and began our long journey into modern civilization.

The thesis of this journey has been to replace a primitive animal brain, designed only for man the animal, with a new existential brain designed to address modern ideas and technology. That is what has been going on one way or another for the last 15,000 years.

There are still areas of the world where societies and people are frozen in time in large dogmatic lakes of primitive cultures, norms and mores. But the earth is changing and large warm rivers of information are pouring into those lake, melting the lakes of dogma and freeing the humans so that they may be able to manifest their destiny as reborn free, self-actualized, existential beings.
