SiouxPal - I respect this is your thread so please by all means ban-me, but please explain why Koan found the below quotes objectionable. As you can see from the link Koan was unable to discuss the quotes but instead had a bit of a breakdown. He had a similar breakdown while discussing Plato and later the Koran and in both instances the discussion ended with him going on about free-lunches.

“When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion — when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing — when you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors — when you see that men get richer by graft and pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you — when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice — you may know that your society is doomed.” Ayn Rand

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force." Ayn Rand

I'm very worried Koan has forgot about our bet.

Big fight over a solar proposal on the ballot in Florida I see. 'Years of Living Dangerously' had a big thing on it.
Seeing lots of ads?

Voters in Florida are due next month to consider a constitutional amendment that opponents say is a deceptive attempt to restrict the market for rooftop solar energy systems.

While most are focusing on Florida as a key battleground state that could decide the presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, electric utilities, solar companies and their allies are blanketing the airwaves with advertisements regarding Amendment 1.
