747 JUMBO JET. A new product from Alpha Software.

WebFiler is an industry critically acclaimed internet enabled database [from the ground up] for the mass market, small businesses, corporate intranets...

Sybase's (Oracle, Informix...) primary product(s) are for large business, Fortune 1000's and is not a bottom-up architected internet [web] database.

Theoretically, WebFiler, with datapush, as we have previously commented on, could conceivably be used with a product like AT&T's PocketNet, wherein data from a particular WebFiler user's database could be pushed via email to that user's cellular phone e.g. sales data, etc...Sybase et al simply cannot perform that hugely significant function...as only one of infinite? examples. webfiler.com

Apple appears to be on a[nother] roll? A leading analyst on Friday's Wall Street Week picked AAPL is #1 stock for 1998. MACWORLD also starts tomorrow, of which, there is much anticipation from both the Street and the Industry. SQ was/is a prominent exhibitor at the critically acclaimed [formerly Apple specific but now moving toward WINTEL platform] Seybold Conference(s) of past and currently has products e.g. Rules Builder, Author-Editor, HotMetaL Pro 3.0, Apex, and Sculptor available for Macintosh platforms. However, according to SQ's website(s), neither its SGML Publishing Suite, HoTMetaL Pro 4.0, Panorama, nor WebFiler are available for the Mac platform (yet?)

A second coming of the Mac platform could be a boon for SWEBF/SKI.
