I started thinking yesterday that who would sell this stock the first week of the year.

If anyone would have sold it it would have been in 97 if they had a
loss for the tax benefits. This is why there were not many sellers. Everyone is holding on at these prices. You would have to be a fool to sell this week and last week when you could have a bigger tax refund.

I read these comments about never touching tech stocks again all I have to say that you guys must have bought too many shares. If you cannot take a 50% hit then don't invest or buy less shares.

Once this stock hits 30 it will probably hit 40 quickly. This is what happen to good tech companies.

Once it breaks thirty all the foolish analysyt will recommend strong buys again. If we would listen to them we would always buy high sell low.

SPACE CADET!!!!! YOU ARE A FOOL!!!!!

Once again you prediction is wrong!!! After you kept revising the trading ranges for Quantum as it fell you predicted it will trade between 10-22 per share in 98.

I told you it will never hit 10 and would definately brake 22 this year. What do you know it breaks 22 on the very first full trading day of the year.

You are a complete fool. What are you going to do now change you tading range to 15-28 per share?

Re: I just hope that it will move back
to 34.75 to break even. And then, I will never buy tech stock again not just QNTM

This and your earlier posts show that you have no business being in the market. If you rely on prayer and hope, and additionally make arbitrary resolutions such as never to xyz again - this tells me you are an emotionally-based gambler, not an investor. I love it when I come across people like you; it just increases the chances for profits for me and everyone else. Got any friends? I sure hope so.

Richard: glad to know I'm not alone. I think it will be very hard for this stock to move back to over $34, not in another six months, IMO. I think a lot of people who bought this dog at a higher price will take some loss to sell it at $30, if it can go back that high. I already took $30k loss on this dog to offset 1997 capital gain.
Good luck.
