I would like to add my dad, Ben Belfer, to that. He immigrated from Russia and served US Army in Europe during WWII. Wish I still had a picture of all the weapons (not US) he shipped back as souvenirs.

Story as I recall it is he was old enough not to have to have gone but left my mother and one or two of my older sisters. (I am the youngest, not sure if middle sister had been born at that time)

Wow, Josh! That's a wonderful thing you are doing. I was surprised to see my name several times, even though I'm not a veteran. I'm proud of my family who are veterans, with one exception.

If you don't mind, please remove the entry for my son-in-law, soon to be an ex. He has been nothing but a world-class jerk.
