The system here is designed for peaceful transition of power, and the President is term limited for a reason. You are suggesting interfering with that.

If you interfere with a scheduled election for the reason that you do not like the candidates of either party, there is no basis in law for that. Neither party will agree to support the other party's candidate, and the candidates have been chosen by the primaries and internal rules of each party and state (as bad as those rules may be).

Your "suggestion" would have to be enforced by a military coup... nothing I ever want to see here.

Perhaps you would like one of those in Israel? But in that region there are lots of strongmen with sad and sorry results for their countries and people. I do not need to describe them here. You are well aware of them.

A military coup would not be good for this country, and might be its end.

I have nothing more to say on this subject.
