Yeah; but where they're coming from is that he should be drawing salary which would have him paying another 1.45% (plus matching, which comes out of his pocket).

But it is the reason you have to be a fool to release the tax returns, for sure in the heat of the campaign. No matter how clean they were you could never explain this crap to the middle class taxpayer in 30-second soundbites.

He would not have had a chance if he'd released them. The audit was a convenient excuse but without he would just have had to say, "No way." Clinton campaign obviously found someone willing to release selected pages from the state returns. Pathetic.
