A very important point, Sankar, that many Americans do not realize, so imbued are they with the "American generosity" ideal so touted after WWII. Europeans I have spoken to, while they appreciated the postwar help, recognized that at least one of the purposes of the Marshall Plan was to rebuild Europe so that our puffed up Industrial Base would have trading partners. And it worked. I do not mean in any way to belittle the actual generosity and good deeds our country and its people have done. Jack
