You noticed that too? lol! I was thinking it was somewhere past ridiculous.
Since I generally stay invested I thought I should look at my sells.

For the year, I see two reasons.
One, I can be pretty dumb.
Two, a while back I thought the best thing would be to set up dividend growth for the wife for when I pass on.

I have since decided to throw her under the bus. Just kidding.
I figure at that point, she has her pension, and she can draw on my SS and take more from my IRA than she will get in SS.
I have seen the loss of one SS be a problem for a lot of people left behind.

I have since decided that the income while I am alive is more important.
I don't have any idea what will happen with health care in the future, but I would rather have the more income and not need it, than need it and not have it.
We think alike as far as having more income than needed for RMD.
Healthcare will wag this dog. If it stays the same, and we take the wifes SS next November, I won't be able to take squat from my IRA without having to
shell out more for insurance than she gets for SS.
Even though her SS would increase each year until 65 and medicare, I can't see using money from my IRA instead of taking it.

Once my SS starts, we won't need either, but you can't spend it once you are dead, and you can't take it with you. I don't want her having all the fun when I'm gone. ng

Hey Jim. How you doing with your wife's money? Seems the timing was pretty good. Hopefully you aren't getting the evil eye. gg
