The Supreme Court is the main thing I'm concerned about because it is the compass that is supposed to keep our country on the right course. And the reason you can be sure that Hillary will appoint intelligent and sane people is because when she does anything, she has to take the entire Democratic Party into account. And they will insist on it. I disagree with you about how she will govern. Polls show that the country has moved significantly to the left i.e. they want larger government, higher taxes on the rich and corporations, and more social programs. They want a country that looks more like the Nordic countries that are so successful. The Dems should take the Senate and that is going to give them tremendous power. Power to pass all the qualified people that the Republicans hate. They will have to use a nuclear option, but I expect them to do that. This new Congress will be significantly to the left of the old Congress. And as the people move left, the Congress will move left and Hillary will just go along with them. You have a background in philosophy and are well aware of history. All a person has to do is look at the last century from 1900 to 2000. It is really easy to see, that the entire country moved dramatically left all throughout that century. At the beginning of the century, women could not vote. How nuts was that? History shows clearly that it was the liberals that stood with the women that got them the vote. It was not the conservatives fighting for them. History also shows quite clearly it was the liberals that stood with the African-American that ended segregation. That is why African-American's stand with the liberals and vote over 90% Democratic in every election. And in this election, the liberals are standing with the Latinos and they are lost to the Republicans for the next 30 years. I'm not quite sure why the Asians vote over 70% for the Democrats :)>? The millennial's hate Trump (they have good sense). Only 9% approve of Trump so they will also go with the Democrats as well as the women. That is a mighty coalition the right wing has to deal with going forward.
