While Congress made AMT hard to avoid its not impossible....depending on how your biz is structured and your other deductions,etc...since it is alleged he paid none, and since the IRS has not dinged him..obviously he is one of those cases. As far as paying for the military...NATO, etc...as long as he paid what he legally owed...he paid his fair share...even if that was zero...NO ONE pays more than they legally have to...
