Stefan......I don't use SAR, but have both MSWIN and GET. I seem to remember some posts a few months back that said that while the indicators are supposed to be the same, they come out differently for some reason that was not well explained. I can't help you specifically, but only with that weak recollection.

Hi Stefan-

GET uses optimized parameters for Wilder's SAR, but they don't say which parameters they are. They also plot the SAR as it should be plotted, i.e. the value generated using today's data is tomorrow's stop and is plotted in that location. MetaStock (and most others) insist on plotting it on today's bar. When I quizzed MS about that, they said that they compute it properly and trigger the stop properly, but they plot on today because they don't support plotting in negative time (that's paraphrased, but I think the essence is right). This is the same reason that displaced moving averages don't extend past today's bar.

Stefan, I don't have it either, Just the demo which is Awesome to say the least...

Richard E. or Dave E. are two I know of that use Advance Get with good experiance in both MSWIN 6.5 and Get.

Just of the minimal experiance that I do have, I would say there is a big difference between the two. Optomization of SAR for each issue tested would be what you would have to set up in system testing or Exploreration in MSWIN. Get is a black box so this, (would?) be done by that system.

WARNING! The above information could be 100% wrong.
