You are greatly misunderstanding what LBJ was getting at. After the 1964 civil rights act vote, LBJ said "we've just lost the South for a generation". He was right.

What he meant by that, was that the South was so angry with the liberals and the Democratic Party for imposing integration on them, they would not vote for the Democrats going forward.

And that turned out to be very true. After the 1964 Civil Rights Act, most of the Dixiecrat's quit the Democratic Party and joined the Republican Party. The dirty little secret is that the Republican wooed them by saying they would not implement the 64 civil rights act more than they had to.

At the same time, the African-Americans saw who voted against them and the civil rights act , and integration and they were the conservatives and the Republican Party.

Absent the few liberal Republicans of the Northeast who did vote for the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

That vote is one of the main reasons that the conservative party is the Republican Party and the African-Americans stick with the Democratic Party.

That is how that history is taught at every major school in the world.

<<LBJ said it himself -- "We'll have those N*s voting Democrat for 200 years>>
