Assad did not pay protection money to the Clinton Foundation, did not pay Bill $2 million for a 5 minute speech, so Hillary was NOT going to look favourably and regime change in favour of ISIS/Al Qaeda/LBGTQWERTYjihad became the favoured process "Assad must go".
