I posted this on another thread, but it is so appropriate.

"
"For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; it shall yield no flour; if it were to yield, strangers would devour it."

Here is an anatomy of what has happened in my opinion. The rich, the plutocrats, have been controlling this country for a long time and literally stealing all the money from everyone else. But especially the poor and the disadvantaged.
The rich, the plutocrats, control the Republican Party. And now that they control Congress and will control the Supreme Court for 30 years, they will systematically start disassembling the social systems that help the poor and the disadvantaged.
The tragic irony, is that it was the poor and disadvantaged that were primarily responsible for electing this guy apparently without a clue that what he would do is take away as much of the social safety net they depend on as he and the rich, can as the rich do not want to pay taxes for it.
So the people that depend on the social safety net the most, are the ones that will be hurt the most, and also the ones who empowered the people to hurt them.
