Exactly Uvula! But it is only one tool of many!The ONLY thing I can think of more complicated than the markets and economy is WOMEN! Both keep you on your toes at all times!

Yes. Stocks are tied to their history. If a stock has a bad history
it should take more to move it than a currently similiar
valued stock with a good history. You can't just throw the past
out the window. Some big events can totally change a companies
future and valuation and the pasts does become less important,
but you never should simply dismiss it. Charts can help tell
ranges, tops and bottoms. You also have to consider fundamental
changes. Charts can help here too by comparing how much
a stock moved in the past on other fundamental changes.
Ever notice how the experts in any field usually are very
familiar with the history of their field even if it has
nothing to do with the ways things are done today.
You can't escape the past. Joe
