I'm not an expert on the FDA or medicine, but I'd like to see the FDA request a generic comparison against a new medicine for an old indication. This after a placebo comparison for the indication. Example Metformin against the more costly new drugs that are out on type 2 diabetes. I always ask my doctor if their is a generic available.
