A Word of Caustion about doing Business in the Former Yugoslavia.

Bribes rule the land there. I know this for a fact first hand. From the cabbie that drives you to the meeting. To the Minister's Aids and Secretary. To the Minister himself and all the way up to the Top (Milosevic Himself). I started to think that every one was called "PIPER" in Belgrade.

This Alesinac property has been a Coal producing mine Nothing More, Nothing less for the last 50 years. It would be a slap in the face to all ANZ shareholders if this was the only property that was aquired from Erin Vent (Hope that ANZ management isn't giving us coal for Christmas).

I can honestly say that under "Tito's" rule that no Russians or outsiders where ever let into the country to rape and pillage the land. Like the Russians did to alot of the African/Commie country's. Serbia/Bosna Hercegovina/Croatia/Slavonia Etc. are all unexplored by Western World standards as far as all Metals go.

I think that all of us should wait and see what the entire deal is and how it is structured before we make any hasty decision here (Buy more, Hold or sell off).
