Jack, I am not the one to criticize the English language for ambiguity. Simplicity of a language often comes at the expense of ambiguity. In Hebrew, a language which I consider uncorrupted by 2000 years of misuse, we feel it is a waste of time and good paper to use vowels, so these are just not written. A group of three letters may have more than 50 meanings and people with some form of dislexia must have a real hard time since simple interchabge of two letters generate another potential 50 meanings.
