What percentage of Toyotas are already produced within the United States? Also, does the profit from those factories go back to Japan or is it reinvested in this country?

Despite their current problems and despite various declines in the US real estate market, the Japanese have huge holdings in the US in addition to the bonds that they hold. Has anyone suggested that they might sell any of these--and what that would do to the US if they did? Selling anything would seem deflationary for the US--raising interest rates and pulling money out of the stock market--or lowering real estate prices.

I can't keep all the variables in mind at once and would enjoy hearing from anyone who can.
