In my view, what differentiates ones physical reality is the frequency at which energy vibrates. Words are powerful expressions of energy. They furnish a mental picture which, when attached to by the mind, creates a reality for each person who senses it and resonates with the energy behind the words expressed. Reality can only exist in the present moment and is essentially, nothing more than our understanding and interpretation of our perceptions. When we are stuck in fearful mental pictures of our own choosing, we are also choosing intentions for a non-existent future. Our own personal vibrational frequency is lowered at this point from the anxiety and pain resulting from our choices. And intentions, also powerful energy, are the foundations for the future. If logic holds here, we can choose which energies (words, deeds, whatever) to resonate with so that those energies can be used in the now to create intentions for a future that we wish to see in the present. The now is where the past and future converge. The past colors the present insofar as we can observe it and decide what about it could have been better and learn from it. What we choose to learn and incorporate into our now determines our consciousness. Our consciousness exists only in the NOW. The future is created from that consciousness and is the genesis of the intentions we project for the future now. The perfection and paradox of life is that it is always changing, yet is it eternal. And that is why I love the impermanence and chaos of life. Redemption is available in every moment. We can always choose to remain where we are or to change. And choice is the inherent and only gift each of us receives when we are born onto this harsh and beautiful planet. We are currently witnessing an extraordinary phenomenon where all the darkest, most unsavory and vile parts of our beings are becoming exposed to the light of awareness. We now have the opportunity to allow the searing power of light and love to heal us. We must be willing to see the darkness in everyone - especially ourselves, accept it and allow it to be until it is no longer. Darkness is the color of fear; the absence of light. Jung would call it our "shadow selves", and the process of healing "the dark night of the soul" (before the light of day). We cannot force our view of reality upon those who cannot see their darkness. We will never create a better future by rejecting "others". Force is an expression of fear. We must choose to shine the light of our inner beauty in hopes that it will transform the darkness. These are tangible, practical ideas. Remember to acknowledge strangers on the street. Look them in the eye. Smile at them. Wish them a good day. Simple kindness. And, yes, even work on social and political initiatives which make the world a wonderful place to live in - always with the intention of creating, never with the intention of destroying or inflicting retribution. Survival of the body at the expense of the soul is an unfortunate choice. Bodies are clay, souls are divine. We choose what is our priority. I believe choosing the latter will save the former. Humanity has yet to find the courage to choose wisely. Now is a good time to make a wise choice. Now is the only time... I am not speaking metaphorically. This is personal for me. All that I am observing nationally and globally that is disheartening and painful is also within me in my own little life. The dark night of the soul is upon me as it is upon us all. I am seeking the light - here, now. Namaste. cos
