And what are your credentials for claiming that with no support?

I think you're wrong, given that I worked with radar that measured rain effects using differential reflection of perpendicular polarizations of microwaves, and given the existence of the type of dual antenna with helixes wrapped in opposite directions (for two circular polarizations, apparently).
