I can remember my dad having a large crock down in the basement making kapusta. You could hear the heavy lid shaking as the gases escaped(g) Never liked that stuff, but it was a favorite for all my polish relatives. I believe deer season starts here today. Snapped a pic of this growing fawn across the road yesterday eating the fallen apples. He's been around all summer, gained a lot of girth since I first saw him with spots in the spring.
