I bring up all this to make for good discussion and I enjoy the responses. This could be an historic moment for investors...or maybe all will pass.

The last time the dollar rose against the YEN and others was 1992 (recession) and 1987 (crash). Companies like IBM will see earnings pressure as their products overseas become less competitive. Over 50% of IBM's sales are overseas. For that reason I am currently short IBM...and looking for others that make sense. Suggestions will be appreciated.

The Japanese will not let the YEN slip further than 140. How will they try to stop it? Buy selling US Treasuries. That means higher interest rates...that means lower stock market.
