Brian.....As I have said...the fiancial issue in asia is only part of the problem.....the other part is a slowdown in technology sales growth and overcapacity in the semi industry.

Brian and others,

On New Year's eve, when I was switching the TV channels, I saw a commentary about effects of Asian economy. There James Morgan made a statement to the effect that:

he is not concerned about what is happening in Asia as long as Japanese economy remaining alright. My interpretation is Japanese economy is large and other Asian economies are tied to it. As long as Japanese economy remains OK, AMAT need not be concerned about what has been happening in the other Asian countries.
