The amount of money that each company has to divert to fix their respective y2k problem could have interesting ramifications in regards to how much they will be able to spend on upgrading their various technologies. This will lead to some companies simply being unable to compete with others and therefore compromise their bottom line. Which, ofcourse, will make a big difference in how our other investments fare.
