The vast "liberal" Generals and Officers understand and fight for civilian rule so any coup IMO would be from the religio + supremacist far right - especially if Trump doesn't do what he promised, for example bomb bomb bomb the shit out of THEM and implement their agenda - stopping the "culture" shifts. (Dogwhistle words.) The vast majority of constitutional people in the military are not right wing nuts and they would extinguish such an attempt. Though there are scenarios, extortion fingers on the buttons, that could be horrific in the process.
