A nice muse for us dreamers this first weekend of '98,CLK.
Something to ponder while we await to see what our fate may be.
The possible rewards make this one at least worthwhile to persue IMO, no matter what the outcome will be.
Here's a toast to a greaaat '98!!

Happy New Year, CLK.

Just a word of caution here. They are not targeting the whole Washington Basin, just the Bellington portion of it, so the overall total might not be so large. On the other hand, compared to other basins the area involved is much smaller. Having had parents with a well in another basin, my impression is most gas companies only capture a small portion of the available gas. These basins typically have areas on the order of 10,000's of square miles, yet each well draws gas from a diameter of only 1,000 to 1,300 feet. Thus, SIR/ERB may be able to get a greater portion of the gas (greater density per unit area.) This has to do with how thick the coal layers, and other factors which I hope they will release with the January well.

/Carl

OFF TOPIC-
CLK-I had the same problem as you on the cvb thread. When you bring it up,its blank,if you go back and then bring it up the second time,it works.
Anyhow i agree with your asessment of the company. There is unlimited potential here. Some people were going to do promotional work with an oil and gas play, but the VSE halted the stock before they could really get going.Consequently the people had to sell out their holdings to raise some much needed cash. One of the holdings happened to be cvb.The cheap sell-off should stop shortly.Management is off to China on the 15th of January to get the first project going. Will bring additional cash flow to the company.(several projects going). Also a small amount of work on the quarry will enable the company to show book value on this as well.A lot of the 10 cent companies are going to disappear over the next while, but this is one that should show steady growth.
George has $1.2 million of his own money invested over the years. He should finally see some pay-off this year.
Do we start a new thread?(or is it some other problem)
