Uhhhh.. REALITY CHECK! REALITY CHECK!

The start of all this sub $1000 PC was first Packard Bell with their cheap Intel PCs.

What gave this segment media exposure was the COMPAQ MEDIA GX Presario 2100/2200 PCs.

THESE MEDIA GX PCs ARE NOT SOCKET 7 ! They don't even use a socket! They use special surface mounted high pin count BGA (Ball Grid Array) packages!

REPEAT - NOT SOCKET 7!
