Thanks alvik.
Always amazed at how fast you can find stuff. Some of what you posted I have already looked at. I may take zorin 9 off for now and try 11 to see if drivers are there. Odd that the CD won't run. Maybe configured for windows..who knows. I am like a dog with a bone and will keep gnawing away until something works. May also try dual boot with windows.
Appreciate your helpfulness.

Hi Guys,
Finally got everything working. The Zorin 11 download was somewhat abreviated to save time so there were lots of drivers that needed to be loaded and updated. This is usually done during installation. Since this required wifi which I couldn't get to work according to instructions(all windows drivers and could not run CD) I was unable to update.

Discovered that the USB adapter had a very tiny button-like feature so I guessed WPS and pushed it and then the WPS on my router and Voilá they started talking to each other and I now have wifi access.

Updated Zorin and sound drivers loaded and my first build is a success! Everything works!

Thanks alvik and Josh for all the encouragement and helpful suggestions.

Cheers,

Jim K
