To all: Well, in case you missed it, here is Jimmy Rogers's best investment idea for 1998. Buy North Korean stamps and coins. (They will appreciate dramatically in value once N. Korea disappears as a nation.)

Sounds good to me.

My own best investment idea for anyone who cares is to hoard kosher sea salt. El Nino will have a terrible effect on the production of kosher sea salt and its price will soar once its scarcity becomes known. You heard it here first.

Compaq considers putting its name on Palm Pilot!

Saw this on page B4 of the WSJ today. Just Compaq CEO Pfeiffer's thought, nothing concrete yet.
