One thing about the EKS number is that it can be applied easily and quickly to almost any stock that has earnings and book value.

When you write, "I always start by plotting revenue, tangible book, and LT debt...then I...", it can't be, can it, that you make this effort for every stock you come across? You must start with some way that culls stocks from your consideration before you go into all these plots/calculations, I would assume.
