Hans, Thanks, appreciate the kind words. 1. ATI was down most of the day on friday. The trade at 42 was the final trade of the day. It was 15000 shares, and it was after normal trading hours (at 4:13 PM), and it was 13/16 higher than the prior trade! Until 4 PM (after which no options traded), ATI was down which explains why all the options are down. I'm trying to figure out why so many shares changed hands at such a leap from prior trade. I think the most likely explanation is that it was a market order, and there were very few shares available at that time at the lower prices. Interestingly, there was a quoted ask price posted two minutes later on the pacific exchange for 41 1/8 but no trade. It will be interesting to see where ATI opens on monday as I hold options as well... 2. Comment re. buying options, exercising, and selling was tongue-in-cheek. If it sounds too good to be true... 3. Long-term, it seems ATI is a safe bet. Earnings the next two quarters, at least, should exceed expectations - as prior years earnings were not too high in comparison to what they are doing now. The company has put out some not-so-subtle hints recently that earnings are growing. ATI's international investments are "growing explosively" and should carry them through the next few years. Globalstar seems very promising, and should kick in, in the next couple of years (ATI has exclusive rights to US and Japan, and a major share. of the Canada and Mexico rights as well as others). US ops. are doing well and continuing to grow.... 4. I wish I could predict the stock price!!! In the short term, a lot of factors should come together to boost the price: a. Excellent earnings for Q4 (I hope) b. General market stable or up (I hope), all the bad news seems to be out. c. ATI has very limited downside exposure to asia, and hence, will be attractive to those (like me) seeking to invest in that type of company. 5. For what it's worth (not much I think), I'm HOPING for $43+ prior to earnings, and 45-50 ,at least, after earnings. This would be in line with trend the last 2 quarters. Again, I wish I had some way to make a reliable, accurate prediction, but I don't believe that I do. regards, and good luck investing, Dave W.
